Terms and Conditions – Tyrrell’s

Vintages are subject to change, but we will advise customer by email or telephone if this is the case before dispatch of stock. The customer has the option to confirm, cancel or modify their order at this time.

Security Information

We use Stripe Internet Payment Gateway to provide a secure environment for the authorisation of credit card transactions over the Internet. Confidential information including client credit card details are encrypted the moment they are transmitted from the client's browser to the banking network using industry standard SSL 128-bit RC4 encryption technology.

A client's credit card details are not stored anywhere on the Internet and the only company who has access to this data is the merchant's bank. The bank also sends confirmation information via the same encryption technology back to the client's browser. These secure processes provide clients with peace of mind when purchasing online.

Delivery and Returns

$200 minimum spend is required to qualify for free domestic shipping. Members receive free shipping on their wine club commitment orders within Australia regardless of order total. 1858 members receive free shipping on all orders. All other orders are $18 per case. 

Our Delivery Carriers

Tyrrell’s uses Australia Post to deliver all home delivery orders under 4 dozen. If you live in an area that is difficult to receive Australia Post orders, it is recommended you utilise a PO box or parcel locker service with Australia Post.

For customers wanting to use courier services other than Australia Post for home deliveries will recieve a quote for freight and does not qualify for free shipping. Courier services will be charged per order and will include a manual handling fee as quoted by the carrier.

Where do we deliver?

Tyrrell’s can deliver to anywhere in Australia. If you are unsure whether we can deliver to the area that you live in, please contact us on 02 4993 7000. Please note that all Australia Post deliveries to rural areas will be left at the local Post Office.

Delivery charges and shipping policy

Delivery charges will be calculated upon check out.

To most areas in Australia, you can expect to receive your deliver within 2-8 working days, though some rural areas may take slightly longer.

In the event of hot weather conditions, shipment of wine may be delayed to protect against heat damage.

The goods will not be delivered to persons under the age of eighteen (18) years. The logistics provider may request that the person who receives the goods provide satisfactory evidence of proof of age. The carrier will refuse to deliver the goods if the person receiving the goods is unable or unwilling to provide evidence of proof of age.

It is required by law to give written instructions to the person responsible for delivery of the liquor, requiring that the liquor be delivered:

(a)   to the adult person who placed the order, or

(b)   to another adult person at those premises who undertakes to accept it on behalf of the person who placed the order, or

(c)   if delivery takes place on a day following the placing of an order, in accordance with the customer’s instructions but always to a person over the age of 18 years.

Returns Policy

At Tyrrell’s we stand by our products and want you to enjoy the wine you have purchased. On the rare occasion that incorrect goods are delivered please contact us within 30 days and we will fully refund or replace the goods concerned, provided they are returned in good condition. We will arrange for any return shipping requirements at our expense.

If you order the wrong wine or provided incorrect delivery details, please contact us within 10 days of receiving the wine and we can exchange it for the correct wine. You (the customer) will be responsible for the associated shipping costs charged at $10 per case.

Faulty wines, i.e. corked, oxidised, off, faulty, undrinkable wines will be replaced or refunded. Any replacement of wine will be with the current available vintage. Please contact us with the details.

Undeliverable Goods

The carrier will advise Tyrrell’s if they are unable to deliver a particular item. We will then attempt to contact you to arrange re-delivery, which may be subject to delivery fees.
