Newcastle restaurant Local Connections is hosting a special wine tasting dinner featuring Tyrrell’s on Friday 30 September. Our Hunter Valley range wines have been carefully matched with Head Chef Alex’s canapé and three courses of seasonal and regional ingredients.

The vision of chef and entrepreneur Alex Hunter, Local Connections celebrates the vibrant cuisine of Newcastle and the Hunter region, combining fresh, colourful ingredients into creative farm-to-table dishes. The menu changes every day to highlight what’s seasonal, flavourful, and available. Working solely with the Hunter region suppliers, the restaurant works to strengthen the connection between the University of Newcastle and its surrounding community.
