95 Points & Outstanding - A pristine and polished wine that seems to transcend varieties and instead embraces origin and producer; medium-bodied and simply silky in texture, the red fruit, fresh leather and fine spices of the two regions marry seamlessly, culminating in a long and expansive, beautifully balanced finish.
92+ Points - Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2010 Winemaker’s Selection Vat 8 Shiraz Cabernet opens with notes of black plums, warm blueberries and dusty earth with underlying dried herbs, Szechuan pepper and creme de cassis hints. Medium-bodied with a low to medium level of rounded tannins and just enough acidity supporting the peppery black fruit flavors, it finishes with great length and finesse.

This wine is very complex with aromas of plum and blueberry. Notes of classy oak, refined and powerful with a medium bodied fresh acid and good depth with concentrated fruit and tannin.
