Gary Walsh, The Wine Front 13 October 2017
95 Points - Plenty of struck match, classic Tyrrell’s ‘lime spider’, a little spice and biscuit, some cut fennel. Light and fine boned, but flavoursome, with a subtle vanilla creaminess, flinty texture, cool acidity, and a juicy and toasty finish of excellent length. Wonderful Hunter Chardonnay. Flavour and finesse.

95 Points - Coming off a difficult vintage, gee this is showing well. It has flavour, as in from the fruit not just the oak and leesy characters, which are here too. Complex, layered with poached quince and ginger and sun-bleached hay, yet tight. Zesty and bright with a lightening rod of acidity so this needs more time.
