3.5 / 5 Stars - Aussie Cabernet for everyday drinking that won’t break the bank? This one is definitely worth a try. It opens with a ripe, minty, cabernet nose which is followed on the palate by sweet red-fruits like cassis with a little leather, tobacco and menthol adding some complexity. This is a fairly straightforward wine but with good overall structure and weight. It’s moderately full-bodied with good concentration and drying tannins on a sweet-fruited finish. Tyrrell’s wines have long been known for their reliability and this tasty little cabernet does just what it sets out to do.
