2015 Vintage Update

Vintage has started again and we have now been picking grapes for four weeks. We finished picking all our white varieties on Tuesday 10 February, with chardonnay and semillon from the Belford vineyard being the last white grapes off the vines. Read More »

Although the gold didn’t shine for the Aussies at the London Olympics, the Tyrrell’s Wines team have made up for it receiving four trophies, thirteen gold, six silver and seventeen bronze medals at the 2012 Hunter Valley Wine Show lunch held on Friday 17 August. 2006: A GOLDEN VINTAGE FOR TYRRELL’S SEMILLON

Bruce Tyrrell always believed the Hunter’s 2006 vintage was a golden one for semillon and recent wins with the 2006 Belford Semillon and 2006 Vat 1 Semillon at the 2012 Sydney Royal Wine Show consolidate that belief. Both wines were awarded a gold medal with the Vat 1 Semillon also picking up the James Busby Annual Prize for Best Wine or Brandy by a NSW Exhibitor in Any Class. Read More »
