EatSummer Twilight Food Market
EatSummer is a night food market like no other. Featuring more than 20 hot food stalls, an artisan dessert alley and four fully themed bars, it will be the coolest food festival event of 2017.
Their team of food pros has hand-picked the cream of Sydney's rising food stars to showcase what they can do, bringing the best and hottest taste of gourmet Sydney to you. Come for the best burgers, fried chicken, pizza, bao and noodles plus high-end restaurant-quality Greek, Turkish, Italian, Japanese and American (both North and South) food. Drink international beer, quality wine, amazing cocktails that will exist for one day only, and gorge on the coolest desserts Sydney has ever seen. For one day and night only, it's time to EatSummer.
Four bars will operate under the canopy of fig trees on Heritage Park, inside the Entertainment Quarter at the inaugral twilight EatSummer festival. Featuring Tyrrell's Wines, the Spanish beer, Estrella Dram, plus Tequila Blue and Vodka O. There will also be a speciality gin bar operated by the local artisan distiller, Archie Rose Distilling Co.
Food venues participating in the event are Anason, Agape, Barzaari, Banh Xeo Bar, 1821, Fratelli Fresh, Hooked on Poke, Indu, Lucio Pizzeria, Lotus Dining, Marta Osteria, Mr Bao, Nola Smokehouse, Sake Jr, Spice I Am, Tequila Mockingbird and Ume Burger.
The twilight market will have a truly international flavour, with cuisines including Turkish, Cypriot, Greek, Vietnamese, Italian, Hawaiian, Indian, Chinese, Taiwanese, American, Japanese, Thai and South American being represented.
As well as leading chefs from restaurants across Sydney, EatSummer will feature a “dessert alley” comprising a line-up of the city’s best sweetmakers. The dessert collective will be spearheaded by Christopher The of Black Star Pastry. Black Star will line up alongside Enmore’s award-winning Cow and the Moon gelateria, Nutie gourmet donuts, and Truffula Sweetery, home to some of Sydney’s most beautiful cakes, in the dessert alley. As well, Fratelli Fresh will be offering its famous bannoffee pie, while Marrickville hotspot Barzaari will serve loukoumades, a Turkish-Cypriot donut ball sprinkled with orange blossom and pistachio.
Damien Hesse (ex-Sneaky Sound System) is the musical director for the event and will be organising the full 7 hours worth of music.
