Sourced from a small selection of our favourite Semillon blocks, the grapes were both hand and machine picked before gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine then spent a few months on yeast lees to gain extra complexity and mouth feel.

Cellaring Potential:
Drinking beautifully to 2021

Ralph Kyte-Powell, Sydney Morning Herald

94 Points - A classic regional wine from a great maker, this semillon has a ripe, appealing nose of unusual concentration. Apple, lemon, melon and wax meet the nose, and it tastes deliciously intense and zesty. (Screw cap; 11 per cent alcohol). Ageing? Drink over six years. Food idea: Grilled fish with lemon and pepper sauce.

Gary Walsh, Wine Front

94 Points - Lemon barley, lemongrass, talc and ester perfume. There’s a softness and roundness to the acidity here that’s very appealing, which along with ample lemon/lime flavour and a delightful chalky texture, makes it immediately appealing. It’s long too. A lot of wine for your money here.

Campbell Matthion, James Halliday's Wine Companion

91 Points - Released within a few months of vintage. Remarkably fruit-driven and giving, with custard apple, citrus and pear flavours adding a keen juiciness. There's little reason why it shouldn't age but it's clearly been made to provide drinking enjoyment now. Drink by 2023.
