Rose
In Australia, this style of wine is made from a number of grape varieties, mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Shiraz and sometimes Pinot Noir. Grapes are picked at lower sugar levels and have higher amounts of acid with cherry and raspberry flavours. Rose wines tend to be crisp, fruity, light-bodied wines with low to moderate alcohol levels. In terms of style and weight in the mouth, they are commonly closer to white wine than conventional red. The taste of these wines is often best enjoyed when the wine is chilled. Tyrrell’s Wines create a rose that has all the crispness of Cabernet melded perfectly with the luscious softness of Merlot.
