Pinot Grigio
In the Alsace region of France it is called Pinot Gris while in Italy it is called Pinot Grigio. This grape produces a dry white wine with a yellowish colour, sometimes described as coppery. Varietal characteristics include lightly perfumed, apples, pears, minerally, honey and savoury. Pinot Grigio is generally viscous with an acid backbone and a textural nature on the palate. Varies in body from light to more full-bodied depending on the alcohol content. Tyrrell's make a vibrant and crisp Pinot Grigio balanced with a silky texture unique to this variety.
