Semillon
Semillon is widely used throughout the world for white table wine. Semillon performs well across a range of cool to warm climates. It is a reasonably vigorous variety with good yields and responds well to oak-ageing. The Hunter Valley, Australia is renowned for showing the semillon grape to its full advantage by making voluptuous, nutty, honeyed semillons that develop desirable varietal characteristics with bottle age.
