Sparkling
Grape varieties used in the production of sparkling wine include Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Riesling, Semillon, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. Grapes from the cooler regions of Australia produce the most outstanding sparkling wine. The production of sparkling wine involves secondary fermentation producing carbon dioxide gas resulting in the steady stream of bubbles known as the bead. At Tyrrell’s Wines, we produce a range of sparkling wine from fruit laden styles to fuller, richer styles using the traditional ‘Methode Champenoise’ practiced by the great Champagne houses of France.
