White blends
Many wines are the result of blending different wines from different varieties and from different vineyards. Winemakers blend different wines in order to achieve a certain wine style, relying on their tasting abilities to indicate the mix which will give the most enjoyable taste. Components of each wine in the blend contribute complexity, balance and structure, creating an improved wine overall. At Tyrrell’s Wines, the majority of our white wines are made from one grape variety, however, we have a few blends that use grape varieties from other regions in addition to the Hunter Valley, giving our blends another dimension.
