Chardonnay
Chardonnay, the white grape of northern France, is the most successful white grape in the international spread of classic varieties and the most widely grown white variety in Australia. The vine is relatively easy to grow, with good yields and tolerates a wide range of climates. Premium chardonnay ages well and those with no oak-ageing, are made for early drinking. At Tyrrell’s Wines, we make a variety of Chardonnay styles. The unwooded styles are medium bodied, crisp and fresh with peach and tropical fruit flavours. The wooded styles allow our winemakers to demonstrate their individuality and are generally more full bodied in style and richer on the palate.
